Versailles

Can't wait for summer to begin!! Last summer on my trip to Paris I visited the gardens of Versailles. I spend a whole day there just with walking around and sunbathing on the grass. These gardens are huge and so beautiful! All these gorgeous flowers were just amazing! My favourite place there was where Marie-Antoinette used to spend her time, it looked like a cute little village apart from the huge symmetric gardens. When you visit Paris in summer you should definitely go visit Versailles!

IJM

I did a shoot 2 weeks ago at studio IJm. If you haven't heard about IJm before you should definitely check out their website. Here are some pictures I took there with my mobile phone. I love working there, it's so inspiring! I will show you the results of the shoot later!

Today Google is celebrating the 205th birthday of Hans Christian Andersen with these 5 gorgeous Google doodles with illustrations of the story Thumbelina. Aren't they cute?

Postsecret

I always like to check the postsecret website to read all the secret confessions people make there. For the people who have never heard about it: Postsecret is a community art project started by Frank Warren where people release their secrets by anonymously mailing them on a homemade postcard. Some of them are really funny, some might be a bit shocking and some are just beautiful. I love this project, maybe I will send a card myself some day..

I HEART

I made these pages for the I HEART: An inspiration project. It's a project started by Micaela from The Drifter and the gypsy. The assignment was to fill two pages with a collage of things you like. It's supposed to be a spread but I didn't read the assigment too good and I made two seperate pages (sorry Micaela!). I think they can be put next to each other as well, don't you? You can take a look at the results of some other participants here.

Friends

Hi there! It's been a while but I'm back now! After the accident my friend had blogging just didn't seem important at all. It happened 3 weeks ago and my friend is doing much better, she's awake now and she's talking again. She still is really confused and she's telling all these weird stories but I think she will get all better. This all made me realize how important my friends are to me..

The past week I really started missing blogging again. I've been quite busy lately with some shoots. I will show you some results later. The great thing about being a stylist is that I get to borrow all these pretty clothes. Sometimes I wish I could just keep them all... This is how my room looked like the past week:

Last Tuesday one of my closest friends had a terrible car accident. She's critically ill and is staying in the ICU. That's why I'm gonna take a little break from blogging until she (hopefully) gets better... I hope that will be really soon!

Who stole the tarts?

A few weeks ago I heard Alice in Wonderland was not going to play in Dutch cinemas but I'm so glad they decided they would play it anyway! I saw it yesterday and I loved it!!! I must say it turned out different than I thought but I just think that's just a good thing! I love how everything was made and of corse Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter were amazing! I didn't know who Mia Wasikowska (Alice) was before but I think she's really cute! She's got this angelic face, just gorgeous...

Everyone knows the original story of Alice in Wonderland and in this version of Tim Burton Alice is returning to Wonderland again. Though I really liked everything in the movie I would have loved some more flashbacks to the original story..

Is there anyone who has seen it yet? Would like to hear your opinion!

I found the first version of Alice in Wonderland from 1903 directed by Cecil Hepworth and Percy Stow. It's a silent movie and if you have the time you should definitely watch it, it's not even 10 minutes long!

Fresh flowers

First of all: I just wanted to thank you all for visiting my blog and for all the sweet comments on my posts! Though I haven't had much time lately to answer them all, I really enjoy reading them! :)

I try to go to the market every saturday to get some fresh flowers. I love how they bring life into my house so I put some in every single room. I don't really have a favourite flower. I always liked weird looking flowers but lately I really enjoy the good old roses and the Dutch tulips. Do you have a favourite flower?

Button your eyes

I've seen the movie Coraline a few months ago on dvd and I really liked it but when I watched it I didn't know it was a stop-motion movie! I just heard that last week and I was really surprised cause it's all done so beautiful! I thought everything was computer animated!

You can take a trip though Coraline's house on the website and find some great things like the pretty images below. Did you see this movie? If you haven't you really should!
